1.
now that you wasted your time in the sun and all of the things that you hate are what you have become will you fuck the future or attend the feast will you turn and run or will you dare to kill the beast everyone you love will die in the end and everything you feel will disappear and won’t be seen again but before the day when you leave this world behind remember all of the paths that you have yet to find cold eyes always turn down bury the pieces deep in the ground what’s lost will someday be found bury the pieces deep in the ground
2.
you're lost on the outside looking in now that the curtains are drawn you're alone in the world again and i missed you i waited behind for you but i never saw the light you were lost on the trail of the broken lie and i saw you down on your knees throwing the world to fire if only i could be with you i'd bow to your servants too and i'd make everything right i love how you wake me up and i wanted to make it up but i got left behind you're alone with me that's the way i want it to be i cried for you and i drank the poison too
3.
we traveled many miles just to see the view but we lost our innocence on the way with the windows down we drove into the sunset and we made our last stand at the top of the world those were the days that our memory will never escape we tasted the rotten fruits of the summer but we didn’t know that love is rotten too fire has to burn until the flames are ready to return I could never bring myself to face it and the flames burned through my heart in the end it all was totally wasted we were doomed right from the start
4.
when the world is fading into the night and the future’s breaking let your love shine bright all the words will waste you and one day you’ll find that the truth will save you and you’ll be alright you and I are the last light in the world
5.
I wasted my time I never made you mine and I fell at your knees and when it began I had a winning hand but I lost in the end I heard it before you’re like an open door and I was the key but I waited too long I never heard the song and now it’s over for me I waited for you cause you’re the one that I have tried to name and I traded you for a loaded gun but I don’t want to die for shame
6.
every day the man will grind you down until you’re seven feet under the ground and if you ever dare to make a sound he’ll push you down further living in America can be alright if you unplug your TV and turn off the lights and if you get lucky then you just might be the next Tyler Durden turn off tune out break in I don’t want to climb to the top of the world gonna live on the bottom and spread the word I’d rather be the one who finds the pearl that was lost in the gutter
7.
do you remember the night when the rocket’s flame like a firefly lit up the town and the people scattered for miles around I caught a glimpse of a dream a taste of beautiful fantasy that never came true and never will no matter what we do the broken world is made of pieces I can’t replace so don’t let the future slip away from you the satellite is calling to the mastermind kill every traitor that you find I’ll always remember you all those crazy nights when the world was new and nothing could go wrong but in a flashing moment everything was gone all my life I’ve had a feeling I can’t escape that I’m letting the future slip away from me to realize that all we see is in our minds that’s the only freedom that you’ll find
8.
let me tell you the story of my psychedelic suicide I wiped out on a brainwave and drowned in the insanity I reached for the diamond at the center of the universe but I woke up the shadow and cried out in delirium the vampire called me to the fountain of misery he told me to sacrifice an angel there the demon was hungry for black nightshade and opium and the nuclear winter rained down over everything love I’ll follow you to your tomb I went out looking for the gatekeeper of paradise they tell me he lives at the crossroads of here and there he has the body of an old man and the soul of a chameleon with a sword in his hand he guards the way to happiness love I’ll follow you to your tomb life is an ashtray for things I wish I’d never done and love is a futile protest against oblivion
